Social Media platforms provide us with endless feeds of content right at our fingertips. Our active process and interaction in using Instagram have become an addictive second nature to us. The “double tap” we perform on each post we like have become mindless. The content we engage with through this platform keeps us coming back, again and again. Images that are presented to us alter our perceptions of the world around us in subtle and discreate ways. By practicing an active and physical awareness of the digital content we engage with, we can develop a self-awareness of how we are affected and moved by the algorithm.
