About the Artist:

Noah is a designer who is continually interested in exploring the ways in which we interact and define our perceivable reality. Marlowe is passionate about old and new technologies and the ways in which they continually alter our perceptions of value, geography, communication, and nostalgia. Through the practice of combining analog and digital processes, Marlowe doesn’t try to solve problems, but rather strives to reveal problems through process, experimentation, and play.

Currently finishing his last semester at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Marlowe is majoring with a BFA in Graphic Design, and hopes to continue his interest in exploratory design in the professional field. Marlowe’s undergraduate thesis work, titled Cultural Transmissions, attempts to reveal how digital platforms and images have altered the ways in which we value the world and the spectacle. Marlowe’s current thesis work is heavily rooted in the themes and teachings of Guy Debord, Marshall McLuhan, Nato Thompson, and Hito Steyerl. Marlowe has previously exhibited work at the Contemporary Cress’s Year of the Metal Rat, and Apothecary’s Command Z exhibition.
